Terms of use

Last updated 2 November 2026

In short

  • TeamD is for adults in the UK who want to find people to play sport with. You need to be 18 or over.
  • Sessions are run by other people, not by TeamD. You take part at your own risk, and hosts are responsible for the sessions they run.
  • Be a good teammate: turn up when you say you will, be kind, and look out for each other. Harassment and hate get you removed.
  • Some sessions cost money. You pay through Stripe. Leave 24 hours or more before the start and you get a full refund.
  • Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer under UK law.

1. These terms

These terms cover the website teamd.co.uk, the waitlist on it, and the TeamD app for iPhone (together, "TeamD" or "the service"). By using any of them you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use TeamD.

2. Who we are

TeamD ("we", "us") provides the service. Contact us at inquiries@teamd.co.uk or on +44 7347 756567.

3. Who can use TeamD

4. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist means giving us accurate details so we can tell you when TeamD launches and offer you an early place. It does not guarantee access or a launch date, and it creates no account. You can ask us to remove you at any time. How we handle your details is in the privacy policy.

5. What TeamD is, and is not

TeamD is a map and a set of tools: people host sport sessions, other people find and join them, and teams keep their regulars together. The people and communities who host sessions are independent of us. TeamD does not run sessions, does not own or operate venues, does not supervise what happens at a session, and does not employ hosts.

Hosts verify their identity before they can host. That is a check of a government ID against a selfie, carried out by Stripe; it tells you a host is who they say they are, not that they are qualified, insured or safe to play with. Use your own judgement, as you would with anyone you meet for the first time.

6. Community rules

TeamD works because people look out for each other. When you use it you agree to:

You can block and report people. We may warn, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, remove content, and cancel sessions, and we may do so without notice where safety requires it.

7. Playing sport is at your own risk

Sport carries a risk of injury. You decide whether you are fit to take part, you follow the host's instructions and the venue's rules, you bring suitable kit, and you stop if you are hurt or unwell. Consider your own insurance. TeamD is not responsible for injury, loss or damage that happens at or because of a session, except as set out in section 15.

8. Hosting sessions

If you host, you are responsible for the session: for describing it accurately, for having any booking or permission the venue needs, for the safety and conduct of the session, for complying with the law, and for any licence, qualification or insurance the activity calls for. You must not host a session you cannot run, and you should cancel in good time if you have to.

To host you verify your identity with Stripe, and to receive payments you set up a Stripe account on Stripe's own pages. Stripe's terms apply to that account and to your payouts. Payouts for a paid session are made after it ends.

9. Paid sessions and memberships

10. Team subscriptions

A small team (up to 30 members) runs on a yearly plan bought through the App Store: the "Small team" subscription at £29.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically every year at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the team stays open until the end of the paid year. Apple's terms apply to the purchase, and Apple handles refunds for it. Deleting your TeamD account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it in your App Store settings. Clubs and organisations with more than 30 members are set up with us directly.

11. Your content

What you post on TeamD, such as your profile, your sessions and your messages, stays yours. You give us a licence to store, show and send it as the service needs, for as long as it is on TeamD. You are responsible for what you post; it must be yours to post and must follow section 6. We may remove content that breaks these terms. Reports and their notes are kept for moderation.

12. Our content

The TeamD name, logo, app, website and design are ours. You may use them to use TeamD and for nothing else. You must not copy, scrape, reverse engineer or build on the service or its data without our written permission.

13. Availability and changes

TeamD is a young service. We will change it, add to it and sometimes take things away, and it may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We try to give notice of changes that affect you. We do not promise that the service will always be available or free of faults.

14. Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we must by law, or if keeping it open would put people or the service at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. Some records survive deletion as set out in the privacy policy.

15. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. Your rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to that, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for loss or damage caused by other users, by hosts, by venues, or by taking part in a session. We are not responsible for what Stripe, Apple or another provider does under its own terms with you.

16. Apple

These terms are between you and TeamD, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, for maintaining or supporting it, or for any claim about it, and has no obligation to provide you with any warranty service. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US embargo and not on a US list of prohibited parties.

17. Other things

18. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you have a problem, please email us first: most things can be sorted out quickly.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for changes that matter, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using TeamD after that, the new terms apply.
